THE PRIX DU QUEBEC AWARDED TO FEDERICO ROSEI

Our member Federico Rosei has been awarded the prestigious Prix du Québec (2021 Marie-Victorin prize for scientific excellence in the natural sciences and engineering). Congratulations!

“I am obviously proud of the work I have carried out during my career, but I feel even more satisfied with my contribution to the training of young researchers, at INRS but also internationally”, says Federico Rosei, who also created the UNESCO Chair on Materials and Technologies for Energy Conversion, Saving and Storage (MATECSS). This initiative aims to facilitate North-South and South-South collaborations with an eye to addressing the goal of enabling universal access to sustainable energy. More information in the INRS press release.

In addition, Prof. Rosei has received the 2021 Nanoenergy Advances Award, in recognition of his “pioneering work on solar technologies, using ferroelectric nanostructures as photoabsorbers to convert solar energy into electricity or solar fuels (e.g., hydrogen)”. The award is sponsored by the journal Nanoenergy Advances.
