When science recharges our batteries

The battery dead? Plug In! Science Sprint invites high school students to dive into today’s energy challenges by exploring how to design more sustainable and efficient batteries. These immersive activities let participants experience the steps of a real scientific process, guided by emerging researchers.

The battery dead? Plug In! Science Sprint was developed in Fall 2024 by Brittany Pelletier-Villeneuve, a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry at UQAM, within the Schougaard research group, in collaboration with Perrine Poisson from the Coeur des sciences at UQAM. The activity has been available to teachers since January 2025, either live or in a recorded (on demand) format.
