Thermal analysis workshop

You are cordially invited to a thermal analysis workshop jointly organized by the Quebec Center for Advanced Materials (QCAM), Mettler Tolledo and McGill Chemistry Characterization (MC2) laboratory on March 20th 2019 in Otto Maass building at McGill University, room OM322. The workshop is free but registration is mandatory

There are two parts to the seminar this year – theory session in the morning, followed by hands-on time with our instruments at McGill. Coffee in the morning and lunch will also be provided.

9 am -12pm: Morning theory session (room OM322)

• Overview of DSC and TGA
• Overview of TMA, DMA and Flash DSC

12 pm-1 pm: Lunch (room OM322)

1 pm-5 pm: Laboratory demonstrations

For the afternoon session we would ask that if you are interested, please come with some samples that we can test on our DSC and TGA instruments. We will need to know ahead of time about the samples you intend to bring. Please contact Yacoob Shaikh to discuss this.
